The installation problem

Long-Distance Pixel Wiring Gets Complicated Fast

As cable distance increases, pixel projects can require separate power runs, data lines, local power boxes, more junction points and more time spent tracing faults. Voltage drop, connector loss and uneven output loading can also turn a simple pixel layout into a difficult on-site commissioning job.

Pixie Driver P1360 Pro™ is designed for compatible fixtures that need a cleaner, more serviceable connection between the control rack and the installed pixel product.

How it works

Art-Net In. Powered Pixel Outputs Out.

Send Art-Net from your media server or lighting software through Ethernet. Pixie Driver P1360 Pro™ receives eight universes and distributes control data plus fixture power through eight powered pixel outputs to compatible strings, bars, tubes and architectural pixel fixtures.

  • Cleaner cable paths between the control rack and the fixture.
  • Fewer field power boxes in supported project configurations.
  • Port-by-port organization for testing and maintenance.
  • A professional 1U rack format for installation and service.

System boundary

Eight Universes. Eight Powered Outputs.

One controller receives eight Art-Net universes and provides eight powered pixel outputs. Using the standard RGB DMX reference of 170 pixels per universe, the system supports up to 1,360 RGB pixels. Final usable capacity depends on fixture channel mode, protocol, refresh-rate target and project wiring.

Tested project configuration

40m+ Tested Configurations Available

For validated combinations of fixture voltage, cable gauge, connector, load and output allocation, SHOWJOCKEY can prepare a 40m+ tested configuration. The distance is a project-tested option-not a universal guarantee for every fixture and cable.

40m+ tested configurations are available. Actual distance depends on cable gauge, fixture voltage, load, connector loss, output allocation and installation environment.

Power configurations

Choose the Power Configuration by Project Load

P1360-700: 24V / 700W for medium-power fixtures. P1360-1400: 24V / 1400W for higher-load engineering projects. Final continuous load requires engineering approval.

Continuous usable load must be confirmed according to output allocation, connector rating, cable sizing, ventilation and ambient temperature.

FAQ

Common Questions

What is the Pixie Driver P1360 Pro™?

It is a 1U Art-Net to Powered DMX Pixel Driver for compatible long-distance pixel fixtures. It receives eight Art-Net universes and distributes control data plus fixture power through eight powered outputs.

How many RGB pixels can it control?

The standard reference is up to 1,360 RGB pixels, calculated as eight universes × 170 RGB pixels. Final capacity depends on fixture channel mode, protocol, refresh-rate target and firmware profile.

Does it guarantee a 40m connection?

No. SHOWJOCKEY can prepare 40m+ tested configurations for validated combinations of voltage, cable gauge, connector, load, output allocation and environment.

Does one cable carry both data and power?

For compatible fixtures and approved project wiring, the powered output cable carries control signal and fixture power. Connector, pinout, cable and load must be confirmed before production.

Which software can send content?

It fits Art-Net workflows from MADRIX, TouchDesigner, MadMapper and Resolume Arena. Verify the actual software version and network plan.

Can it control SHOWJOCKEY Spatial Matrix modules?

No. Spatial Matrix modules use their own integrated Art-Net architecture. Use Pixie Driver for compatible powered pixel fixtures.

Which power version should I choose?

Choose according to fixture voltage, power per pixel, output allocation, cable size, ventilation and ambient temperature. Final engineering approval is required.

Is the controller waterproof?

Install it in a protected, ventilated rack or control enclosure unless a different environmental rating is explicitly confirmed.
